: Bit the bullet...
MrTyke 08-26-2008, 07:38 PM Hello everyone. I finally decided to stop lurking around. I registered and fixed my profile up a bit. I have the Caliber and the Charger. I am thinking about the Hornet...but will have to give up a vehicle to get it. Since I rather enjoy my Charger, it's a foregone conclusion that the Caliber will be replaced by the Hornet. THIS TIME...I'll wait until the second year showing before doing the purchase.
I enjoy my Caliber R/T, but you want to know what gets on my nerve the most about it? I'll tell you...no need to wonder. The base vehicle is all over the place. Everywhere I look...there's another one that looks just like mine. Add to that...it has become the rental car vehicle all over the nation.
Well, that's me. I look forward to the Hornet hitting the market. On top of that, I look forward to seeing what everyone is going to do with this MINI-looking vehicle. Cool!!

ua_who 08-27-2008, 10:49 AM Welcome Mr. Tyke!
I too have a Charger and a Caliber (R/T and SE base respectively)
I feel your pain on BOTH fronts. They are both being used for rentals, which is a little disappointing.

I feel your pain......you know how many black calibers I saw....TONS! Mostly by women and old ladys....
thats why I traded mine in for my SRT:bigthumb:
UN4GTBL 08-28-2008, 09:14 AM Welcome! I don't mind there being other cars around that look like mine, its easier to get away with stuff this way ha ha
Charlie 08-31-2008, 06:11 AM Welcome to the forum Tyke.
MOPARfulSRT4 09-01-2008, 07:20 AM Yeah there are a lot of Black Calibers out there. But I hardly see the SRT-4s. I think the Caliber SRT-4 looks SICK! Looks like a mini version of my favorite SUV, SRT-8 Grand Cherokee. I wouldn't mind owning the Caliber SRT-4.
MrTyke 09-03-2008, 11:17 PM Thanks for the "Welcomes".

Modded cars just call the policeman's attention to you.
I've kept all of my Charger mods (except the wheels) to the internals/motor/etc... from the outside it looks like all the others. :)
Charlie 09-07-2008, 12:30 AM No worries from the police if you are not doing anything wrong.
Impound04 09-07-2008, 11:51 PM that was the problem though. i wasnt doing anything wrong. i was slowly accelerating so my exhaust wasn't loud, didn't go over the speed limit, and i used a blinker and all well in advance. he just had to meet his quota or something. if he was trying to actaully pull me over for doing something wrong he should have given me an exhaust ticket. he was also new and in training so that might have had something to do with it.

So what did he cite you for?
Impound04 09-10-2008, 12:37 AM he gave me one for 3rd brake light out and somehow the device he used on my window to determine the tint said it was 15%. so he gave me another one for 15% tint front/rear. but his device was not calibrated right or something because i know for a fact that it wasn't 15% when i got it done and my roomate got his at 20% and his is darker looking than mine. and that was over 2yrs ago when i got it done and its faded some too.

3rd brake light out?
Damn, some vehicles around here only have 3rd brake lights...especially those GM minivans/big SUVS (Suburbans, etc)
It's really annoying cause all of a sudden they are stopped and you're still doing the speed limit
I've learned to just change lanes, floor it, and pass the lazy buggers
Impound04 09-11-2008, 05:31 AM yea i know.
and people are notorious in va for doing that along with other stupid things. im almost sure in sc that it's not required to have one, just the two mains have to work and thats where i am registered. but va has some catch all law that makes it where when you're in their state you have to adhere to theirs. it's so gay
UN4GTBL 09-12-2008, 08:05 AM Depending n the mood that i'm in and close i come to smacking into the back of them, i hope that somebody hits them pretty hard some time,
Impound04 09-15-2008, 12:23 AM i don't feel like wrecking my baby, i just get as close as possible and change lanes quick. give them a scare and let them know they suck at driving. then get my gf to flip em off as we pass. people who don't know how to use a turn signal with someone right behind them piss me off too.
