I have very little faith in products made in China. They tend to sub-standard and sometimes dangerous. I have come to see the tag "Made in China" as a warning label.

There are a few things made in China that are high-quality. In general I think the "parts" that are made there are better than the end products that are assembled there.

In either case though, the lack of environmental controls and poor worker's rights means the "Made in China" label is one that I too normally avoid.
