I am 48 years old and most of you younger guys know a whole lot more about performance cars than I do. That is why I am here. I enjoy reading everyones opinion and can feel the passion the for their car in their words.
Thank You to all the members that take the time to share some of their knowledge with those of us that have a lot to learn.
Lets hope the Dodge builds this car and comes out with an SRT version. :D

An SRT version would be sweet.
170-180 hp base = 220+ SRT? (of course more is even better)
That could put it in the mid 14's at high 90's maybe?

Unless they make it a bigger 4cyl motor, I have a hard time seeing them getting more than that.
Current SRT-4 Caliber is 2.4L - 285hp - 3200lbs
Hornet SRT-4 1.8L? - 220hp?? - 2900lbs???
Smaller car, slightly different market point?
Of course, it's all guesswork.

No argument here... but I'm trying to be realistic. I would imagine their market would be the lower end, small size.. which keeps the engine small. And without a bunch of boost (which they won't do stock) that puts a limit on power.

wasnt the 03 srt4 only 220hp? or was it 225?
Impound04 07-02-2008, 11:00 PM i think it was rated at 215hp/245tq in 03, then they put the s1 injectors in in 04 and that put it up around 230hp/250tq
