Hey guys

Found this site on the Charger Forum. I saw the concept of the Hornet and liked what I saw. Since I am kind of thinking about getting a smaller car with better gas milage, I thought I'd check in here to find out more about it.

Charlie,

Welcome to the site. I think the Hornet should meet all of your criteria... great looks, good gas mileage.... now we need to get a high performance model and your talking about the trifecta.

This time of year, that sounds like heaven.

Of course, a high of 80°F would sound like heaven too!

I don't know the exact number, but this year I think we had over 20 days with highs over 110°F and almost 90 days over 100°F - and still counting!

Not as bad as i thought. I have never had an surgery in my life, and this was my first encounter with it.

My top two wisdom teeth were fully out, so my dentist removed those back in august (I was awake for the whole thing, they just did a local freezing)

I had my bottom two out yesterday at 1:45pm and and they gave my laughing gas and knocked me out for the procedure. (Neither of the bottom teeth were fully exposed, and the bottom right one hadn't really broken through at all. When i came to it was all over, and i was able to walk fine, and i didn't really have that much pain, although my front lip was completely frozen, and it felt like a rubber flap in my mouth. My mom was awesome and went to pick up the pain killers, but they were really busy so she spent an hour + at the drug store to get them. I was given tylenol3 and a ibuprofen as a pain killer, and once i got the two of them in me, there is a numb pain from the right side, but nothing that you cant ignore. THe left side is painless :rocker: I'm just vegging at home today, but if I had to I could have gone to work.

I wouldn't be concerned about it, its not that bad, especially if they knock you out for it.

Yeah, they gave me the same thing when I had it done. I wished I could have taken a tank home with me. Nitrous is great. It's like getting a really good alcohol buzz with out the bad side effects like......hang overs, munchies, beer belly.......and best of all, it wears off pretty quick so it's ok to drive within an hour after the gas.:rocker::rocker::cheers2:

It's been about 20 years, but I don't remember it to be that bad. Just make sure the doc do a good job in numming the area. The painkiller wore off about my 3/4 way through the surgery. He had to give me a few more shots. The recovery sucks though.

I'm OK with doctor's visits and most related pain... but I need to be able to watch, which I can't do at the dentist. So I HATE the dentist. :scared:

It'll be fine, its not that big of a deal...especially if you're knocked out for it.

They gave my laughing gas and then started to give me the sedative, adn i was grinning or something while they were talking to me, and the last thing that I remember is one of the nurses saying "he's having a party, and didnt invite us" next thing I know, they are waking me up to move me to the recovery room. :jester: The only way that I knew that something had happened was that my mouth had stitches in it and my bottom lip was numb

They knocked me out for my first oral surgery. The last thing I remembered before I woke up was counting backwards from 100 and looking out the windows at some birds on the wire.

My second and last, hopefully, oral surgery was with another doc. he refused to knock me out. Instead, he gave me a local, a few shots and gas. I was awake for everything. I can feel every pounding and pulling he was doing on my jaw. There was no pain until about 3/4s of the way through it when I motioned to them that I felt pain. Then a few more shots and I was fine. I LOVE that gas.

ya i definitly prefer the being knocked out method...however, for the first one i was glad i was awake, as the guy chipped one of my molars and i passed the piece out on my tongue to him...i later made them pay for the repair on my molar tooth. if i had been knocked out, i dont know what would have happened...

Charlie

I still rather be knocked out. The only bad part about that is you need a ride home after the surgery. They would'nt let you drive after being knocked out.
